Waste disposal instructions

The waste collection point for vessels is situated opposite to the harbour basin. There are separate bins for solid waste:

• metal
• glass
• energy waste
• unsorted waste (landfill waste)

Problem waste, oily waste or hazardous waste

All these waste types are collected direct from the vessel according to pre-orders to the port (orders either through the agent or direct to the port´s traffic department, fax +358 (0)204 631 501.

Grey waters

Vessel’s sewage is collected direct from the vessel into tank cars according to a preliminary notice (order to be given through vessel’s agent or direct to the port’s traffic department, fax +358 (0)204 631 501.

Food waste from non EU-traffic

Food waste from vessels in traffic from countries outside the EU is collected direct from the ships in accordance to pre-orders (orders through the agent or direct to the port´s traffic department, fax +358 (0)204 631 501. The waste shall be packed in yellow bags, which the port gives to the ship, for delivery to disposal.
